RIWIK Wind Energy B.V. is the Dutch holding company of RIWIK East Africa Limited, a business that provides wind turbines, solar panels and solar powered water pumps to households, businesses and institutions in rural Kenya. The company designs and manufactures its wind turbines in Kenya. With two wind turbine models on the market, RIWIK's third model is going in production from January 2013.
RIWIK's mission is to provide a substantial, sustainable and long-term contribution to the electrification of Kenya and its surrounding countries with the implementation of cost-effective, high quality wind and solar products. Besides that, the company is focussed on providing excellent customer service at each step of the process, through customized products, end-user training sessions and on-site maintenance.
